Frequently Asked Questions
Why is your bread more affordable than others I've seen at markets or local shops?
We keep our prices low by baking in bulk and skipping costly market overhead—no booth fees or setup costs here! Our goal is to stay small, focused on quality, and share wholesome, simple-ingredient bread that’s accessible and affordable for everyone.
Why doesn't my bread stay fresh very long?
That’s actually a good thing! Our bread contains no preservatives or commercial yeast—just four simple ingredients. To enjoy it at its best, we recommend eating it fresh or freezing it shortly after purchase.
What is a Bread Flight? [Seasonal Offering]
A bread flight is a sampler of mini artisan loaves, perfect for trying a variety of flavors in smaller portions. Great for gifting or sharing with friends and family!
How should I store my bread?
If you won’t eat the whole loaf in a few days, here’s what we recommend:
-
Traditional loaves: Slice what you need and store the rest in a dry, dark place—paper bags, plastic, or beeswax wraps work great.
-
Freezing: For longer storage, slice and freeze your bread. Pull out only what you need for the day.
-
To refresh:
-
Uncut artisan loaves: Rinse with cool water, place directly on the oven rack at 375°F for 10–12 minutes.
-
Sliced bread: Lightly mist with water and pop in the oven or toaster for a quick revival.
-
What’s the difference between Artisan and Loaf bread?
-
Artisan Loaf: Crisp, crunchy crust with a chewy, dense inside—great for soups, dipping, or dinner bread.
-
Sandwich Loaf: Softer, more traditional sandwich-style bread—perfect for daily meals and toast.
Why are there marshmallows in my baked goods?
The marshmallows are to help keep the good fresh and absorb the oxygen (which dries out and makes baked good "hard"). With no preservatives or chemical additives to make your items last longer and stay soft we have to get creative to keep the goodies good!
